Wild problem when hyperlink to PSD file

I create a hyperlink in powerpoint 2003 document, it links to a photoshop PSD
file. When I run show and click the hyperlink, photoshops opens, and the file
just open and close immediately. I get same problem when I create a hyperlink
for PSD file in all Office 2003 application (Word, Excel).

But, when I convert the documents to PDF format, the hyperlink works super
good.

I don't have any sense where I can find the solution

More than likely because Microsoft Office cannot read PSD file which is the
default for Photoshop, which is an Adobe product and probably the reason
that Acrobat can read them. Keep the original PSD format, but save them as
JPG or PNG (my choice) and reinsert them into PowerPoint.

Thanks for your suggestion, but in fact, I need open the picture under
photoshop enviroment, because the photo instructor wants to show picutre
under photoshop enviroment directly from PowerPoint show.

Majority of images will open in Photoshop JPG, TIF, PNG. But PowerPoint
cannot read a .PSD file. PSD is to Photoshop as PSP is to PaintshopPro or
CPT is to Corel Photo Paint
