I received MS Office Basic Edition 2003 with my Dell computer purchase. I
did not use Access much, but was learning to use it. Later, I purchased
Office Home and student, not realizing Access was not included. Then when I
wanted to continue learning Access, I found it was not available because ver.
2003 was uninstalled when ver. 7 was installed.
My question is: is it possible to reinstall at least Access 2003 from my
original program disc, or the whole ver 2003, and have it run while I have
ver. 7 of O, H and S as my basic system? If not, what would you suggest is
the most cost efficient way to get Access ver 7 w/o having to buy a whole new
expanded edition?
Thanks.

Um, I don't believe Access was included in the Basic Edition of Office 2003:
you needed to purchase the Professional Edition.

However, the answer to your question is yes, you can mix-and-match like
that.

(FWIW, ver 7 of Office was Office 95. Office 97 was version 8, Office 2000
was version 9, Office 2002 was version 10, Office 2003 was version 11,
Office 2007 was version 12 and Office 2010 will be version 14: Microsoft's
apparently supersitious!)
