Will Either Microsoft Office 2007 or 2008 Open an Excel 97 DocumentOK?

Hi,
I will be transferring Excel 97 (I think; I definitely am using Word
97) files from a PC running Windows 98 SE to a new iMac, where I plan
to install Microsoft Office 2007 or 2008. Will the Excel included in
either Office 2007 or 2008 open my old Excel files fine? Thanks for
any advice.

With very few exceptions, this shouldn't be a problem. See this page:
