Will I loose my notes from OneNote 2007B2 to OneNote 2007 retail?

I use OneNote 2003 and would love to work with the new 2007 beta 2. My
concern is that I will use 2007 B2 and when the retail version comes out, my
notes won't covert or be accessible. Is this something I should be concerned
about or not?

No need to be concerned about. Your notes will convert without a problem
to OneNote 2007 retail.
Microsoft will release at least one more beta version of OneNote 2007
before its release. It might be the case though that you need to upgrade
your notes to that one and then to the retail version. No one knows yet
though.
Microsoft is 100% committed to make sure there is a path to upgrade your
notes from B2 to retail, you will just have to make sure to follow their
instructions. This has worked perfectly for me from Beta 1 to Beta 1
Technical Refresh and from that one to Beta 2.
Keep in mind though, that OneNote 2007 is beta so you'll have to deal
with minor and major annoyances, crashes, potentially data loss (prob.
in conjunction with a crash), etc. Also, once you upgraded your notes to
2007, there is no way back to 2003. Hence if you are not committed to
purchasing the retail version, you'll be stuck once the OneNote beta
expires on February 1.

I too was wondering this. I find it interesting that I might need to upgrade
to yet another beta version before I can finally upgrade to the retail
version, especially since MS are now CHARGING to download office betas. Does
this mean I'll have to pay money for another beta (albeit a few dollars - its
more a of nuisance than anything) to ensure that I can continue to access my
OWN notes once I purchase the retail verson of onenote? I would hope this is
not the case and that any beta downloads that are required to maintain
compatibility (with the retail version) are free of charge.

On a slightly related note, when is the technical refresh due for release?
Anyone know? It's been 'coming soon' for too long to have originally called
it 'coming soon'.

Rod.

Microsoft said in its announcement of the $1.50 fee that future beta
version(s) will be available for free for anyone who has downloaded Beta
2 (for free or for a fee).
Tech refresh is due soon. Sorry, there is no known ETA.
