Will Microsoft office 2007 work with 2010?

Hey everybody, today I am going to buy Microsoft 2010. I am just wondering if Microsoft 2007 will work with Microsoft 2010. For example, my school uses Microsoft 2007. If i start an essay in word, or a project in powerpoint (2007), can I save it, then come home and finish it using Microsoft 2010 and vice versa? Thanks for any help!

ms office files of 2007 will not open or work with ms2011.i myself has gon through such an
expirience.u cant open ms 2011 files with ms 2001.

That's just absolute nonsense. Office 2007 can open files created by every Office version. And, with the appropriate file format converter from MS installed, Office 2000-2003 can open the later files too.

You can very well open, edit and save MS 2007 documents in 2010.
