Will my Office 2007 license be valid after upgraging to Vista?

Hello - I currently have Office 2007 installed on this Xp machine. If I
upgrade this machine to Vista, will I have to purchase another license for
Office or will I still be able to use it on this machine?

Thanks for any reply,
-Mike

Depends on the type of license. In general, no, but check the EULA of your
version.

Well, I read the license but didn't really see anything relevant. (Unless I
missed it.) I have a genuine boxed version of Office 2007 Standard. It's
for home use only.
Vista is being shipped to me and I am hoping to find a definite answer
before opening it. If I can't use my Office with it, I don't think I'll even
install it.

They make these agreements so......well...confusing for the average person
to understand. While using google to try and find an answer to this, I came
across some info about the upgrade license for Vista. If true or not, I
don't know - but some were saying that upgrading to Vista deactivates XP.
(Meaning I can't resort back to it after the upgrade if I want or need to.)

Buying a product from a company shouldn't be so confusing.

Do you have a retail version or OEM version of Office? With a retail version
you won't have any issues with your license.
