Will office 2000 Professional run in Vista

I recently replaced a stolen laptop with a new laptop that has Vista. My
desktop and old laptop has XP. I like to have the same versions of software
on both so I can have important files in sync and copy from one to the other.
My question is, does Office 2000 Professional run in Vista? I can't get
mine to work.

It does, but you will have issues notably with OL
What does 'I can't get it to work' mean?

When I try to access file in EXCEL or WORD it goes into a NOT RESPONDING mode.
I am going to try Office 2007.

I loaded windows xp video driver in order to run legacy DOS program
which now run fine
Then I loaded Office 2000 professional and everything work except
have been unsuccessful in getting MS Publisher to load and run as i
did on windows 2000 professional

i just popped my office 2000 disc into my laptop with vista premium and wham
straight away installed the complete office 2000 applications without any
problems what so ever until I decided to install office 2007 which complete
overwrites 2000 and I don't like 2007!
