In one / several of the first replies it was clearly stated that the upgrade option would only upgrade (And remove) components present in *both* versions Any component not included in 2003 would remain untouched, ie Photodraw & Publisher You are complicating the issue, where no such complication exists. BTW I seem to recollect that Photodraw could be problomatic, in Office2k, I dont know whether this was as a result of haveing 2003 installed (I had this type of instalation once) PPS The actual MS advice for using multiple Office versions, or components, is to install to version specific folders. In your specific case that would involve uninstalling Office2k, rebooting, then reinstalling Office2k, via custom installation to a version specific folder eg Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office2k Then updating, and then installing Office2003 via the Upgrade option (no need to custom install, as by default Office versions from Officexp install by default to a version specific folder, \Office 11 in your case)
