Will office 98 run on Mac OS X?

You are absolutely correct, Jerome. However, with a little further
searching, the poster could have found the group that has the .mac in the
name, which would have gotten him/her a faster answer.

I would suggest that when folks search the vast hierarchy of
microsoft.public.xxx, that they start with the smallest common denominator
first and work their way up. So, by searching for .mac, they would get all
the mac groups. Office is a pretty big category to start with though.

Besides, we know that Cass has a hair trigger when it comes to off-posts

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer
Jerome T. Czeikus <[email protected]> asked:

| This is the microsoft.public.office.setup newsgroup. Nowhere do I see
| Windows in that title. So, it also pertains to Office as used by
| people with Macs.

|| As this is a Windows-only group, no one here (probably) has the
|| faintest. Suggest you post in a Mac group (hint: they have a
|| tendency to end in 'mac').

There are Mac-specific groups that end in 'mac'. As this one doesn't, it
isn't.
