Will Office Picture Manager open PCX files?

I am testing a new Load Set with Windows XP and Office 2003. Part of my
previous test for Windows 2000 and Office XP was to launch a [*.pcx] file.
In the latter Win2K Configuration Load Set, any [*.pcx] file was opened by
Microsoft Photo Editor. As I understand, Photo Editor has been replaced with
Picture Manager. Picture Manager however does not seem to have an option for
opening [*.pcx] files. Is there a solution to this issue?

Download www.irfanview.com, a free program that will open .pcx files. Get the
plug-ins too, you will need them if you associate certain files with the Irfanview
viewer.
