If I was interested in doing the same thing I'd get the Student Home version
which is not much more than a stand alone copy of ON.

ON2007 does not need Office 2007.
A number of the OneNote+Outlook features do not work, however, if
Outlook 2007 is not installed.

What does OneNote 2007 have that OneBook 2003 does not?

Pls see the replies in your own thread.
I can only say: quite a lot.
ON2003 was a typical first shot and very many most important things
have been improved and/or added.

He/she who still works with the old version instead of upgrading,
punishes him-/herself day by day.
