Will Outlook 2007 have a newsgroup reader?

Haven't tested it yet but when Outlook 2007 launches it will most definitely
be supported.

No, there will be no native NNTP support.

There are 3rd party add-ins that can add NNTP support for Outlook though
like;

if you decide to order use "4PM76A8" to get a discount

Will it also run in Outlook 2007?

Dr Ken Brown-Gratchev

I have the latest Beta version of MS Office Professional Plus 2007, with
Outlook 2007, and I have had MAPI NNTP For Outlook, version 1.40. I had been
successfully using NNTP For Outlook with my prior MS Office Outlook 2003
version. Even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled my MAPI NNTP For
Outlook several times, since switching to the Office Outlook 2007 Beta, I
cannot get it to function properly, as it did with Outlook 2003. It
apparently does download header & body information, from the 2 newsgroups
that I have subscribed to for some time, but it places these downloads into
the Outbox folder in Outlook 2007, instead of the two specific newsgroup
folders. I've explored Outlook 2007, but cannot find a way to resolve this.
I sent a trouble ticket to the MAPI folk, but haven't heard back from them to
date. Any suggestions, tips, or guidance of any type? Thanks!

It's not controlled from within Outlook but from within the add-in. There
you should be able to set to which folder it should download.
Note that v1.40 doesn't officially support BETA2.
