I have no access experience but have figured some things out by poking
around, please tell me if what I'm contemplating is a good idea or not.
I need to make a minor change to the table of a simple access database
that was created by an intern 2 years ago and has not been modified
since. I located the design master but can not make any modifications
to it, nor can I find a way to change the permisssions (choices grayed
out). There are replicas which have all the current data in them, the
design master has none. It looks what I could do is set one the
replicas as the new design master, make the necessary change, and
synchronize it with the other replicas. Then we would have the
modified database replicas and a safe new design master all with
current data. Is this a good way to go or could it have horrible
consequences? Thank you.
