win srv error

I installed xp service pack 2 and then decided to uninstall it which i did
through the add and remove program. when i went to use my computer tonight
it came up wit an error about winsrv was not found and reinstalling app may
help. problem is that i can't get pass that even in the safe mode. i turn
my computer on with the f8 key, hit safe mode and then microsoft xp and he
automatically brings me back to the error message and shuts my computer off
right away.
how do you reinstall anything if you can't get the computer to stay on?
help!!!!

You've asked the question in a newsgroup about Excel for Macintosh.
You'd have better results, I think, if you asked it in a Windows group.
