WIN XP and Office 97

I have upgraded to XP and Office 97 is performing
correctly. however I am unable to install Office 97 SR1
and SR2 because the upgrade thinks I have more than one
copy of Office 97 installed.
if I completely remove Office 97 as per KBA 254250 will I
be able to reinstall Office 97?

Worth a try, Dennis. You will certainly be able to reinstall it if it *is*
the only copy on your PC.
