Win XP and PPT 97???

Hello All,

When using PPT'97 under Windows XP the slide backgrounds often turn balk or
white randomly???
(same presentation in PPT'97 under Win'98 or even under Win'95 runs
perfect!)

Did I miss a patch or something?

It's probably a video driver issue. First thing to try is changing
hardware acceleration. http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm

Next thing, if that doesn't work, is try updating your video drivers.

We've been experiencing the exact same thing. PP97 presentations (.pps) run
fine on Win 98 machines, but very flaky on 2 different Win XP computers.
Like you say, blank slides appear randomly.

The XP machines each have different video cards, and I've updated the
drivers; and tried various acceleration settings as well.

I've been using the ppview97.exe MS viewer, so I'm now trying to use the
newer PPS Viewer that MS released last month, but have run into a
compability issue with Sonia Coleman's Autorun CD Creator Pro, in that it
doesn't recognize the new version.

Hope someone has a solution, for either problem.

We not longer offer Autorun CD Creator Pro. It has been replaced by
PowerLink Plus, which uses the new Viewer. Write to me if you are
interested in upgrading. I'll need to know the name under which you
