Hi,

I have a website on XP professional using IIS 5.1
Now I am trying to make it work on IIS 5.0 on windows 2000 server.
have stand alone computer, with no fire wall. I am sitting on the sam
computer on which I have my website. When I type my domain and it come
to my machine before I could hit my web site I get this window po
upscreen saying "Enter Network Passowrd" it asks me to ente
username/password and domain. Why I am geting this window and how can
get rid of it.

Your help will be greatly appreciated

You'll want to post this question in an IIS or Frontpage or ASPNET
newsgroup.

The explanation is that your Windows2000 server is configured to require
authentication; this might be because the file permissions are not set
correctly on your C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ folder. Right-click on the folder and
look at the "Security" tab.

In any case, I'm sure you'll find your answer in one of the newsgroups I
mentioned.
