Win95 to Win2k, Office 97 to XP

Gary

We are in the process of upgrading Win95 clients to Win2K.
We also want to upgrade Office 97 (which is currently
installed on the Win95 clients) to Office XP SE.

1) Is there a particular order to the way we approach this?

2) What is the preferred practice to upgrading to Office
XP - Office 97 uninstall, XP install or upgrade 97 to XP?

3) Are there any issues regarding Office if we upgraded
the OS first?

TIA

It is almost always better to a clean install, instead of an upgrade.

In the case of an OS, you would then need to re-install all your apps.
In the case of Office, you would then need to copy the templates, etc from
the Office 97 directories to the Office XP directories.
