Hello:
I read an article somewhere that Microsoft will no longer
be offering updates through Windows Update for Windows
98SE as well as Office 2000 Professional Online Updates.
My question is.... if I have to re-install Windows 98SE
and need critical updates and patches along with all the
Office 2000 Professional service pack cricial fixes....
how will I update my products in the future?
Most importantly is Windows 98SE then Office 2000 Pro.
If both of those software packages will no longer provide
online updates.... can I SAVE all the automatic updates I
did as files to my hard disk drive?
Where can I obtain them. And...is there a certain order to
install them?
I'd like to say thanks for your help Microsoft, but this
makes things much more complicated as I do frequent re-
installs. The auto-updating online web features of Windows
Update for Windows 98SE and Office Extension feature makes
it very handy to install all the right items in the
correct order as it is impossible to screw it up. Manual
updates.... will cause problems as they need to be in
order.
