Window does not appear

When i 2x click a message in my inbox, the window does not physically appear. I see the window in my window menu, my main window becomes 'inactive' ( I can switch - cycle - back to it) but it will not appear. This happens in my calender as well...

I am running 10.2.3, panther and outlook 2001 in classic

I figured it out on my own, but it was a semi-drastic manuever. After backing up my backup of my personal folders, I tried re-installing outlook to no avail. It was not until I deleted all of the system 9 preferences...
