Window not maximizing to full screen

Lately when I open Word, it is in Maximize mode however it is only taking up
about 1/2 to 3/4 of the screen. The only way I can make it full screen is if
I minimize it and resize to full screen using the double arrows. This is
extremely annoying. Is there a setting or something I need to change? I
have never come across this before.
