Window problem

This seems like a silly problem to have, but I just started working
with Excel 2004. On several occasions now, when I open a window it
moves up so that the 'minimize' button (and the close and fill screen
buttons too) are off the top of the screen. In other words, I cannot
grab the window and drag it down so I can do what needs doing.

I should also mention that I have just started using OS 10.2.8. Unlike
OS 9.2, I cannot find out how to grab a window to move it--other than
at the very top, which, in my case, is not visible.

This can happen when your toolbars become undocked. Try moving them
slightly to redock them - the windows should move back into place.

Another technique is to use Window/Arrange, which resizes them and
places them under the toolbars.

I should have mentioned that I am working with two monitors. The
problem occurs on my Powerbook monitor. It seems to only be with the
Excel Help window, which I cannot minimize.

Strange that one cannot grab the window from another point and drag
it!

You may be able to increase the resolution of the monitor reveal the
window's title bar, drag it to the center of the screen and then reduce
the resolution again.

good idea.

But, still, it seems a step backwards that Apple took away the option
of dragging a window from a place other than the title bar.
