Window Vista Speech Recognition in Word 2007 Form Fields

I am trying to use Windows Vista speech recognition in a Microsoft Office
Word 2007 protected document with form controls/fields. It does not recognize
anything I say after clicking in the form fields. For example: When I click
in a text field and start speaking, the speech recognition window says, "what
was that?".

In an unprotected form with no fields, speech recognition works fine.

Any ideas?
