Windows 2000 Generates error when accessing Header / Footer infor.

I am getting Win Word exe errors when I try to access a the Header / Footer
Feature in Word. I am on a Domain, and saving / accessing the files on a
public folder. I have checked the office website for updates and the system
says I am current. Any Suggestions?
