My system is an IBM T20 laptop with 256 MB of RAM.
I am currently running Windows 2000 SP4, Office 2000 Professional SR3 & have
now installed FrontPage 2003. I installed FP03 based on information from
this newsgroup that said that they were compatible. I also uninstalled the
FP03 Office Tools as advised from this group.
I was having problems with the Office Assistant in both O2K and FP03 - so, I
hide them both. This seemed to work (for awhile).
I am having major problems with this setup.
Periodically (at least once a day) my MSWord2K will freeze and take 100% of
the cpu - I then have to use TaskManager to kill it (this has taken up to 4
minutes to work). I then 'detect & repair' O2K and it seems to work for a
short period (varies).
I am sure that there are other things that I need to uninstall from the FP03
package - such as the Office Assistant.
Does anyone have a complete list of what can be and what should not be
installed from the FP03 CD for this combination to work?
Or, does anyone have any experience in solving this problem?
