Windows Authentication is being asked two times

Hello,

We have this setup - Project Server 2003 and Database server on two separate
machines. Both connected to a domain controller. Users are maintained in
Active directory as a domain user e.g pcs\rsharm21.

I am trying to connect to the project server using project professional 2003
through a project server account consisting of windows authetication user
which in turn a domain user.

When i do that, i am asked for userid / password. When i provide the correct
logon information, it ask me for the same again. When i provide the same
information again it logs in successfully and let me open the enterprise
project.

While i close the project and close the professional i again ask for the
userid and password.

Why this is happenning? It is not liked by users and i need to remove this
multiple logging.

This would likely indicate that you don't have directory security properly
configured in IIS.
