Windows automatically shuts down when I start MS Word

Hi,

I'm using Windows XP on a desktop.
Recently, whenever I start MS Word, it automatically shuts
down my computer without any error message.

Nothing wrong happens when I start IE, Excel and Frontpage
tho'.

I tried updating Windows, activate firewall, virus scanned
with norton, and still couldn't fix it.

Can someone tell me what might have caused the problem and
how to fix it?

Thanks.

Have you tried updating your video drivers?

Best guess..is a truncated executable file..try uninstalling the word
programe..after backing up your files...then go to the dir..and delete
it..re-install the app. It's extream..but most times it works.
