"Windows cannot find xxxx.(office document)"

Every time I open a Word doc in Word 07, it gives me that. Happens with all
documents in Word. even .txt. Also, if opening Word in safe mode, it will
open, but as soon as I try to open a document, it gets stuck in the virus
scan(not responding). I also am having problems with Excel (same) and outlook
won't finish the synch on startup (not responding) with an imap account. any
possible ideas would be appreciated!

I should also note that I'm stuck at the initial screen when I try to open
Word via a doc. It never fully boots. It boots in safe mode, but I can't open
documents. Documents are accessable when opened from other computers. I have
no addons, and I have a printer driver.

Your symptoms suggest its your AV scan that is causing the problem. If you
are using Norton Anti Virus, open NAV and disable the Office Plug-in.
