My apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum.
I have an XP machine that is dual booted with W98, with the XP version
of the office suite installed on the 98 side. This is due to a
conversion from dos based programs to windows based programs. Once
completed, we'll switch from the XP to 98.
My problem occurs occasionally when trying to print from Word (XP). I
get the following error:
Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup.
Try one or more of the following.
* Check the printer by printing a test page from Windows
* Make sure the printer is turned on and online
* Reinstall the printer driver
I've tried all of the above extensively, none of which seem to have an
impact. What does have an impact is simply restarting the machine, but
without some resonable explanation, that response is starting to wear
thin. Has anyone else seen this error. Any help or suggestions will be
greatly appreciated.
