Windows XP Home SP2, Office 2007
I have Windows Desktop Search (WDS) version 06.00.5361.0000 installed.
That's what shows on the list in Add or Remove Programs. I also see
searchindexer.exe (this is part of WDS, isn't it?) as a running
process in Task Manager, and I have the WDS folder in Program Files. I
believe I have WDS because I have Office 2007 installed, and I think
Windows Desktop Search came with Office. But WDS doesn't seem to be
visible anywhere else, and I don't know how to use it. I don't have a
search box on the task bar, and I don't know how to bring one up.
So how do I use this program? How do I get to its search box?
The Tour for WDS on
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/desktopsearch/default.mspx implies
that I should have a search box on the Task Bar.
