windows explorer stopped presenting itself whilst I was on
office 97 professional. I sought to de-install and re-
install. I re-installed office 97 small business but
still windows explorer folder and file hierarchy does not
present. all I get is a duplicate browser of My Docs. I
have followed all the instructions in Help about clicking
on settings and going through control panel for windows
explorer and going through start, accessories, etc.
Whichever route I take the only browser coming up in My
Docs. Factory faults also fail to bring Windows Explorer
into view. I believe I need to go deep into the system.
What is there is the system to bring windows explorer back
into operation. End, Tony Rome.

Hi Tony,

You may have a shortcut set for Windows Explorer that
is pointing to the My Documents folder. If you right click
on the Start button and choose Explore does that also
come up in My Documents? If so, you may want to post
this question to the Windows newsgroup for your version
of Windows on news://msnews.microsoft.com
