Windows Explorer

I have installed all of the current updates for windows 2000 and office 2003
aand have just found out that the folders option does not work in windows
explorer. All I get on the left hbnd side where there used to be a folders
list is a greyed box wih a n x in the upper left hand corner.
Any ideas of what could cause this and how to correct?

Thanks Bob: One quick question - I have Explorer 6.0. Will this fix work for
it as well? I'm really not confident mesing with the registry, but will try
if this will fix it.

Yes, use the section that starts like this.

"For All Internet Explorer versions EXCEPT IE 5.5"
