When using office on a novell system as i check my email the "windows
installer" keeps popping up out of the blue and i am not trying to install
anything....how do i get this to stop??

When installing Office there is an option to 'install on first use'. Maybe
it is trying to use some feature you haven't previously needed. You can get
it to stop by letting it install what it is trying to install. You might
need the Office or Windows media.

Does it seem to install and go away or does it fail and return an error?
I don't think there is an Office version for Novell, so you either have the
Novell client on a Windows box or you are connecting to a Novell server?
Office version? Windows version?
