Windows Installer appears every time when only Access is started

Each time I start Access 2002 program (NO problem of starting other Office
program),
a dialog box for Windows Installer appears with the following message:

"Preparing to install... "

This is followed by another dialog box, with the following message:
"Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office XP Professional with
Frontpage"

How can I solve this problem?
Thx!

Remark:
Hardware: Fujitsui Notebook S7021 with Windows XP Home Edition
Software Installed: Visual Studio 6, Norton Internet Security

Hi Popeye,

I received this problem when trying to use the Access 2002 wizards. The
Windows Installer would appear and begin configuring Print Shop for
installation. I'd click Cancel to work on my db.

With Access closed, I finally installed Print Shop onto my machine, and the
installer stopped popping up in Access after that.

Not sure why this occurred, but the problem was solved. It might be
something with Jet picking up incomplete program configurations; I can find
no further information on this.

I have both Access 2000, 2002 and 2003 on the same computer.
When I switch versions I get the alert box. Not sure why.

Jesper,

Were you successful in solving this issue? I have the same problem with
Access 2000's installer running each time I execute Access.

No, unfortunetly the Access 2000 installer runs every time, I run the
program. Access XP and 2003 start up without the installer showing up. To
make it even worse, I'm now getting and error message during the
"installation"-procedure from the "windows installer" saying "unexpected
termination". I didn't previosly. Not sure what it's about. Access 2000
seems to work though. I'm just living with it as of now and I don't know how
to resolve it. It seems to me that coexistence of the Accesses doesn't work
out that great.
