Windows Installer error 1635

Hello,

I recently deleted my Office XP apps from the add/remove program and then
used the restore system utility. Now when I try to access Word I get this
Windows installer error 1635 "this patch could not be opened. Verify the
patch package exists and you can access it. I also check the error out and
it seems to have something to do with XP Plus! which I don't have installed
on my PC. BTW, the date I restored my pc too, all my applications were
working just fine. Any ideas? thanks..

patch package could not be opened' errror message in Office 2003, in
Office XP, or in Office 2000". Use the cleanup utility to delete the
Windows Installer registry entry related to Office XP, and then reboot.
Does the error message persist when you start Word?
