A Win2K SP4 machine with Outlook XP SP2 installed on it has started
prompting for
C:\Program Files\OfficeUpdate\MSPs\511263.OUTLOOKop.msp
each time I log on. The folder exists but the file does not exist anywhere
on the machine. Also get this message in the event log each time:
================================
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MsiInstaller
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1001
Date: 8/25/2003
Time: 8:23:23 PM
User: N/A
Computer: XXXXXXXXXX
Description:
Detection of product '{90110409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0050048383C9}', feature
'ProductNonBootFiles' failed during request for component
'{22056900-C842-11D1-A0DD-00A0C9054277}'
===================================
The event likely occurs when I click Cancel, which I have to do several
times to get the Installer to give up. OL works OK AFAIK.
I have not found a correlation in the event log between the first occurrence
of this event and an installation.
If I try to reinstall or uninstall Office, I get the same prompt and can't
continue.
How can I fix it?
TIA
