Windows Installer (Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003)

My original (boot - C:\) hard drive had some issues, so I replaced it with a
new one. I had/have Windows XP Pro on both the old and new drives.

There was software which came with the new hard drive to do a "exact" copy
of my old hard drive while installing the new drive. It worked mostly, but I
have a few issues now with Office 2003. Mainly this: The icons for all the
Office 2003 programs now have no pictures on them and when I start any of
the programs the Windows Installer comes up every time and it takes a minute
or so then the program starts normally.

I find this a waste of time and very annoying to say the least. I have
taken the following steps to correct this issue all to no avail.
1) Ran the repair option for Office 2003 from the installation CD. It said
something like all files repaired successfully. Still have the same issue.
2) Did an uninstall of Office 2003 from the installation CD. Received
message something like uninstall of Office 2003 was successful. The whole
process took less than a minute to complete. Still have the same issue.
3) After the complete uninstall in number 2 above I did a complete
reinstall from the Office 2003 installation CD. Received message something
like installation was successfull. Again the whole process took less than a
minute to complete. Still have the same issue.

Any suggestions on what is happining here and how to really correct it?
Cheers...
