After having a local computer shop upgrade my motherboard,
I keep getting a windows installer pop up asking for an
updated file for office xp from a system files update disk.
the computer then searches the floppy drive. The system is
running windows 98 se. I have ms office 2000. The message
occurs everytime i access the internet or load some
programs from the icons on the desktop. When the message
pops up and i hit cancel the message loads again. I hit
cancel a second time and it goes away and everything runs
normally.
I have never loaded ay xp programs in the system. I
suspect the computer store loaded something either by
mistake
How do i get rid of this! the knoledge base articles
for .msi and office xp do not address the question.
