Windows Installer patch files

Hello,
I have problem updating the Office Xp package.
I cannnot uninstall it either (it works fine)
Probably because Windows Installer patch files (.MSP
files) from previously applied Office updates are missing
from the \Windows\Installer
the error is :
The Patch Package could not be opened. Verify that the
Package exists and that you can access it or contact the
application vender to verify that this is a valid Windows
Installer Patch.

Hi Toly,

This can be caused by several things, but to correct it you will need
to zap the Windows Installer entry in the Registry and reinstall
Office.

Obtain the following utility and use it to remove only the reference
to Office. Once that is complete then you'll need to reinstall Office
to point the Windows Installer to your installation CD:
