Windows Installer XP Runs without being asked

Unbidden - A box pops up that says "Windows Installer"
It gathers information and another box opeens that says
Microsoft Office XP Professional and the requests the CD.

I would like to permanently stop this action, because it
happens every minute or two.

My son tried to install Chinese on my computer. I do not want it. Windows installer keeps appearing. how do I eliminate the unwanted program? The installer asks for Microsoft front page which I left up north.
