I keep getting Preparing to install... and Windows
Installer pops up every time I open Word. How do I make
that disappear?

Hi Jerry,
When you installed office did yyou select the options for install on local
computer or was the setting for the word components set to install on first
use?

I logged in as Administrator and it fixed everything.

"i am having the same problem, i am logged on as system administrator and
each time i open word it says installing word components, i think it was set
to intall on local... i have also gone into windows add remove programmes and
changed it to install on first but that does not make any difference. I have
tried reinstalling word but that makes no difference either?"
