Windows istaller appear when I open some programs

My computer came with Office 2003 trail. I opened it a couple of time, not to
use it.
I got a service pack update for that and installed it. My company uses
office 2000, and as for now there won't be an apgrade to 2003. but now, I
tried no unistall Office 2003 and could not do it because of the service pack
allready installed. And now when I open programs the windows installer lil'
window appear seying that is preparing to install, eventualy goes away and
the prograr runs OK, but sometimes it takes a long time. Is there anything I
can do to fix this?
