windows journal viewer and windows installer

Hi, I have windows xp OS. I installed office 2000. sometimes i cann't open
the word documents. Frequently I see messages like, " windows installer is
installing" nothing happens or " windows journal viewer is installing" but
finally- it says, HKEY_CURRENT_USER/software/microsoft/Journal viewer. verify
that you have sufficient access to the key.

How to avoid these annoying messages and how to improve the functionality of
the Office 2000 Premium.
