GusGus

I have a Dell 8300 computer with Windows XP Home Edition, Outlook 2003.
I am trying to download Windows Live Local Add-in for Microsoft Office
Outlook (Beta), but I get an error message! I checked the Event Log, and this
is what it says:
Event Properties
Product: Windows Live Local Add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook (Beta) --
Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program
run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support
personnel or package vendor. Action CA_LAUNCH_ADDIN_INSTALLER, location:
C:\Program Files\Windows Live Local for Outlook\LEOAddinInstaller.exe,
command:
Of course, I don’t know what all this means, but I’m hoping someone does and
knows how to fix it. By the way, In Event Viewer, I clicked the option to
“send the information across the Internet†after clicking on “For more
information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.†Does this mean I may get an
answer from Microsoft about this problem?
Thank You.

You really need to give folks time to read your post before posting
the same question again. A LOT longer than 20 minutes. These are
peer-to-peer newsgroups and questions are answered voluntarily and it
make take a day or more for the person who has the answer you are
looking for to respond. Plus it's a Sunday in most parts of the world.

Now, you may want to post in an Outlook newsgroup since that's where
you'll find the majority of the Outlook gurus - and give them some
time to respond as well. :)

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
