Hi all!
I wonder if someone can offer some assistance with this. Microsoft has been
NO help at all.
I just installed Windows Live OneCare on my partner's PC. She hosts our
Business Contacts in her copy of BCM.
Since installing OneCare, I cannot access the Business Contacts from my PC.
I assume it's a firewall thing, blocking me from hitting her PC.
I adjusted the settings on her computer, so I am now able to use Remote
Desktop Sharing, as well as Share her Hard Drives. Also, when I turn off all
of OneCare's features (Antivirus, Firewall, Spyware), lo and behold, I can
see the BCM contacts again.
As soon as I turn anything on, the SQL server manager reports, "BCM for
Outlook could not find the database you are looking for, Verify the network
and computer.... etc"
So, if you can please offter some hints on how to reach her BCM contacts,
that would be great.
Up to present, using the built-in Windows Firewall, as well as Norton's
Firewall/Anti-virus, BCM woked like a charm.
5 minutes into Windows Live OneCare... and no luck.
The Microsoft technician's answer, "Sorry! The SQL Manager isn't
supported." and that is that. Terrible.
If you have any ideas, that would be great. This is quite upsetting. I'd
hate to think that after buying this program and uninstalling Norton
Anti-Virus, I have to go back to it. Any ideas???
Thanks so much!
