Windows Logo key shortcuts in Onenote?

B

The Onenote tutorial mentions several shortcuts with the "windows logo key".

I have not gotten these to work. Is there something I need to activate so
that the windows logo key will work that way?

Trying to do a screenshot for example, (Windows Logo Key + S) either does
nothing, pops up the Start Menu, or puts an "S" in my current document.

What am I missing?

The Win-key shortcuts require the OneNote icon in the Notification Area.

From within OneNote, go to Tools | Options | Other and ensure that "Place
OneNote icon in the Notification Area..." is checked.

Erik:

Thank you. That put me on the right track, although it wasn't an immediate
fix.

"Place OneNote icon in the Notification Area..." *was* checked. Apparently
that is the default, which is fine. But the icon was not in the Notification
Area.

However, this was simply fixed: I had to uncheck it and recheck it. And it
appeared as soon as I clicked "OK" in the Options window.

Apparently it just needed to be redone.

Thanks for your help,

Tim
