Windows Mail Security

Hi!

I had to get a new computer a few month ago. It runs Windows Mail on
Vista. For months when I needed to access my email, I click on the Windows
Mail icon, and it takes me straight to the Inbox. Occationally I need to
click on Send and Receive All to populate the Inbox with the latest emails.
Today when the Windows Mail icon went to the Inbox, a Windows Security
window popped up asking me to confirm the User ID and Password. I don't know
if there is any User/Pass, and there appears to be no security question or
similar means to recoup a lost password. None of todays emails populated the
Inbox. Why is the system suddenly concerned with security, and how do I get
my current emails?

Thanks,

RFD

Please repost your question in a forum supporting Windows Mail. This group is
for a different program, Microsoft Access. The webpage can be confusing and
