Windows Mail to Outlook 2003

I have a new PC with Vista. My previous PC had OE and I was successful in
getting those message and contacts imported to WM. I would now like to
transfer everything to Outlook 2003, but keep getting error messages. If
exporting from WM, the error is that the error occurred while initializing
MAPI. When trying to import from WM, the error message states that the mail
folder could not be opened. Any hints on how to resolve? Thanks.
