Windows Me

I have a person emailing me Word documents when he is
using Windows Me and I am using Windows 98; consequently,
I am receiving these documents all misformatted, and
instructed him to save the document as a Word 97
document. I tried to explain to him to go to File, Save
As, and when the box pops up, he should have two dropdown
boxes on the bottom--File Name and Save As Type. However,
after he clicks the Save As, he says that he does not have
either dropdown box. How can he convert these Word
documents to Word 97 so that they come out properly
formatted?

Your Windows version has nothing to do with it - no part of Office is
included with any operating system. What OFFICE version are you running - if
you're running Office at all (as opposed to Works or the Works Suite)?
