Windows Media 10; DVD player stopped working!

Hello!
My DVD player will no longer play. CD's will play, but, all of a sudden the
DVD's will not play anymore! When I insert it into the player, Windows Media
10 says that there is no DVD in the drive. I hear noise, but, nothing
happens. I have a Dell computer with the Combo CD Burner/DVD Player. Is
there something that I can do? Was something done wrong, or a program
possibly installed that may have hindered the DVD player capacity?
